Glacier National Park Retreat Packing List (Camping Retreats)

What should I bring to the retreat?

Food + Beverages

  • We will be preparing a huckleberry pancake breakfast during the event, otherwise, you are responsible for your own meals. If you’d like to be connected with other participants to arrange for group cooking, we’re happy to make introductions!

  • NOTE: this event is hosted within Glacier National Park and is curated to be a healing week of stewardship and reconnecting with the land. As such, alcoholic beverages, tobacco, vape pens, plant medicine and other substances are not permitted.

Camping Equipment

  • Tent

  • Sleeping pad

  • Sleeping bag

  • Pillow

  • Camp chair (optional)

  • NOTE: We are car camping in an established campground for this event (meaning you park your car at the campsite) so feel free to make your setup as comfortable as you wish.

Other Items

  • A headlamp or flashlight

  • Hiking shoes/boots

  • A daypack with water storage (we recommend hiking with at least 2L of water for this event)

  • Clothes you feel comfortable hiking in (performance materials recommended, cotton is a nightmare on a long hike) and long pants/sleeves for the service project.

    • WEATHER: The weather can be cool in the mornings and at night with warm and sunny afternoons. Be comfortable. We are expecting mid-70’s to low-80’s during the day and 40’s-50’s at night.

  • Sun protection - Sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, gaiter, sun hoodie or other long-sleeved top

  • Personal Toiletries - there are showers and restrooms on-site, bring a towel

  • Journal - we will provide a pocket-sized journal for reflecting on the trail, but if you have a favorite one, feel free to bring it!

  • Gratuities for guides
