Welcome to Blaze Your Own Trail to Self-Love! This is where we lace up our hiking boots and venture deep into the wilderness of self-discovery, embracing an empowering mindset and the practices that will set your heart ablaze. Join Sydney and Barry Williams, your guides and fellow adventurers, as we navigate the rugged terrain of limiting beliefs, scale the mountains of self-compassion, and uncover the hidden treasures of self-acceptance. Together, we will forge a new path, igniting a fierce love for self that will radiate through every aspect of our lives.
SPOILER ALERT: “Healed Mountain” doesn’t exist.
Like any good trail, life is full of ups and downs. We don’t arrive at the summit and never descend - at the end of the day, we always come home to ourselves.
If you’ve been healing in isolation, torturing yourself with “positive vibes only” and feeling like you’re broken anytime you experience discomfort or have a bad day, know this much: we are better together, all vibes are welcome, and we got your back. You won’t find any spiritual bypassing here.

How do we do this?
If you’re ready to find your wellness in the wilderness, you’re in the right place.
🧭 Guided Self-Discovery
This isn’t a pre-recorded program, we facilitate our workshops LIVE! By starting with our foundational healing activity - creating our Trail of Life Maps - we draw inspiration from your life story to bring you home to yourself, visualize the life you want to live, and walk with you as you put one foot in front of the other in the direction of your dreams. By the way, every workshop features an interactive activity rooted in self-reflection, bonus mindfulness practices and resources (guided meditations, interviews with experts, book recommendations), journal prompts, as well as space to reflect on your hikes. PS If you can’t make it to the live meeting, you’ll have access to the instructional video.
🧭 Hiking as a Mindfulness Practice
In each workshop, we give you a prompt to meditate on while you’re hiking solo, or to talk about in your group if you’re hiking with other members in the program. We encourage participants to go for a hike once per week to reflect on the lessons learned in the program. When the program has wrapped up, you will have developed a regular hiking + mindfulness practice and reaping the rewards of your efforts. By the way, you pick your hikes based on what you’re comfortable with, there is no mileage or difficulty requirement.
🧭 Community Connection
We’re all coming to the table with our own lived experiences and filters through which we see life, but one thing is for certain - we are more alike than we are different. By learning how to hold space for your fellow program participants, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to practice active listening and learn from each other.
When we slow down enough to hear what people are saying and give space for processing the information and understanding the messenger, we can oftentimes find some of our stories in the stories of others. This deepens our connection to self - affirming that we are not alone in our experiences - as well as our connection to each other.
Note: all of our workshops are hosted LIVE via Google Meet. If you want to listen in and hike while we meet, you are welcome to but it is not required. The hiking portion of the program is on your own time, at your own pace. 💚
Program Formats
🧭 Online Workshops
We meet live once per month from February-September to gather around a specific topic and help you connect the dots between the wilderness within and the wilderness you’ll be exploring on your adventures throughout the program. Includes full access to the Curriculum + Community space hosted on Mighty Networks, where you can find bonus resources, meditations, extra worksheets, and more!
🧭 Blaze Your Own Trail to Self-Love in Glacier National Park
Limited to 12 participants, this format runs February-December and includes the full program, a retreat in Glacier National Park, and post-retreat integration support.
This cohort meets with the Class of 2025 for the live workshops and has an additional monthly meeting for discussion and support, creating an intimate atmosphere for deep healing and community building in advance of our in-person retreat in September.
Blaze Your Own Trail to Self-Love Program: Includes two meetings per month - one live teaching to review curriculum, one for community and connection. Full access to the Curriculum + Community space via the BYOT Trailhead - our hub for all things Blaze Your Own Trail to Self-Love, hosted on Mighty Networks.
Retreat in Glacier National Park, September 18-22, 2025: program registration includes a retreat in Glacier National Park, the perfect opportunity to put the work we’ve been doing all year into practice! Accommodations, meals, and all programming included - all you gotta do is get there!
Next Steps Integration Program: inspired by Sydney’s new book, Hiking Your Feelings: Blazing a Trail to Self-Love, this program helps participants integrate the experiences shared online and in person, setting you up for success.

Mindful Miles prompts to guide your outdoor adventures and strengthen your relationship to self and create space for processing
Private online community where you can connect with fellow program participants away from the distractions of social media
FULL PROGRAM + RETREAT - all of the above PLUS:
Community Connection: this format includes a community call each month where we’ll discuss the workshop materials, reflect on our progress, find solidarity in our struggles, and celebrate our successes.

Hike + Heal Glacier National Park: program registration includes a retreat in Glacier National Park, September 18-22, 2025. By the way - airport transfers, all of your meals, cozy cabin accommodations, transportation within the park, guided hikes, and workshops are included in the fee, all you have to do is get there!
Next Steps Program (October-December): participants in this cohort will have additional support at the end of the year to help integrate the learnings from the program and retreat. We created Next Steps to help you take the next steps toward your wildest dreams.
