Hike + Heal Glacier National Park Packing List

What should I bring to the retreat?

The Glacier Institute Field Camp will be serving as our basecamp for this event and accommodations are included. In September, we anticipate highs in the mid-60’s and lows in the low-40’s at night.

Food + Beverages

  • All meals are included in your registration. Since everyone has different nutritional needs and preferences while hiking, hiking snacks are not included in this event, so you’ll want to bring your own Trail Snacks

    • We’re providing the following meals:

      • THURSDAY: Dinner

      • FRIDAY: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

      • SATURDAY: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

      • SUNDAY: Breakfast

  • NOTE: this event is hosted within Glacier National Park and is curated to be a healing weekend of disconnection. As such, alcoholic beverages, tobacco, plant medicine and other substances are not permitted.

Other Items

  • A headlamp or flashlight

  • Hiking shoes/boots

  • Socks

  • A daypack with water storage (we recommend hiking with at least 2L of water for this event)

  • Clothes you feel comfortable hiking in (performance materials recommended, cotton is a nightmare on a long hike)

    • WEATHER: The weather can be cool in the mornings and at night with warm and sunny afternoons. Be comfortable. We are expecting mid-60’s in the day and high-30’s to low-40’s at night.

  • Sun protection - Sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, gaiter, sun hoodie or other long-sleeved top

  • Personal Toiletries - there are showers and restrooms on-site

  • Journal - we will provide a pocket-sized journal for reflecting on the trail, but if you have a favorite one, feel free to bring it!
