Hike + Heal Beyond Zion Packing List
What should I bring to the Beyond Zion retreat?
We’re staying at a private glampsite for this retreat, with options to camp in your van/RV or in a tent. In October, we anticipate highs in the mid-60’s and lows in the mid-40’s at night.
Food + Beverages
Breakfast and Dinner is included in your registration. Since everyone has different nutritional needs and preferences while hiking, hiking snacks and lunches are not included in this event, so you’ll want to bring your own:
Trail Snacks for Saturday’s hike
NOTE: We will be stopping at a local pub for lunch after we hike Angel’s Landing, which is NOT included in your registration fee
Alcoholic Beverages (non-alcoholic beverages and drinking water are provided)
NOTE: while there is a community fridge and coolers on site, we recommend bringing your own cooler to ensure you have room for all of your food
If Camping:
Tent
Sleeping pad or air mattress (something to separate you from the ground/tent pad for insulation from the elements)
Sleeping bag
Pillow
NOTE: We have limited rental equipment available for this event (tents + sleeping pads, BYO bedding/pillow)
Other Items
A headlamp or flashlight
Hiking shoes/boots
Socks
A daypack with water storage (we recommend hiking with at least 2L of water for this hike)
Clothes you feel comfortable hiking in (performance materials recommended, cotton is a nightmare on a long hike)
WEATHER: The weather in Cane Beds (our glampsite) can be cool in the mornings and at night with warm and sunny afternoons. Be comfortable. We are expecting mid-60’s in the day and mid-40’s at night.
Sun protection - Sunscreen, hat, sunglasses
Personal Toiletries – you will have access to bathrooms + private outdoor shower on site
Journal - we will provide a pocket-sized journal for reflecting on the trail, but if you have a favorite one, feel free to bring it!
